Resetting your password

If you forgot your password and can’t sign in to Decent Budget:

  1. Visit decentbudget.com and click “Sign In”. Click sign in
  2. Click “Reset your password” link. Click reset password
  3. Enter your email address and click “Reset my password” button. Reset password form
  4. Check your inbox for Decent Budget password recovery email. Open it and click on a password recovery link. Reset password confirmation
  5. Enter your new password and click “Change my password”. Create new password

Normally password confirmation email arrives in a minute. If you didn’t receive email, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, contact us.


Changing email address

To change your email address:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Account”. Select account
  2. Under your email address, click “Change your email address…”. Select change email address
  3. Enter your new email address and your current password. Select change email address

Changing password

To change your account password:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Account”. Select account
  2. Under your email address, click “Change your password…”. Select change password
  3. Enter your current password and your new password. Enter your new password

Subscribing to Decent Budget

To subscribe to Decent Budget:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Subscription”. Select subscription
  2. Click “Subscribe” button. Click subscribe
  3. Enter your credit card details and click “Subscribe to Decent Budget”. Enter credit card details

If you’re still on free trial, you won’t be charged until your trial ends.


Cancelling Decent Budget subscription

To cancel Decent Budget subscription:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Subscription”. Select subscription
  2. Click “Cancel subscription” button. Click cancel subscription
  3. Confirm your cancellation.

Changing saved credit card

To change your saved credit card:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Subscription”. Select subscription
  2. Click “Change card” button. Click change card
  3. Enter your new credit card details and click “Update card card”. Change credit card details

Downloading data archives

All data that you enter to Decent Budget belongs to you. At any time you can download all your data in a single archive. To download your data:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Privacy”. Select privacy
  2. In “Download your data” section, click “Request archive”. Select request archive
  3. Wait until your archive is created. Depending on the amount of data and application load, it might take a while for archive to be prepared. You will receive an email when you archive is ready to download (you can close this page).

You can request your archive once every 12 hours.

If your subscription is inactive, you can still download your archive—click on a link “Download your data” at the bottom and follow instructions there.


Closing account

At any time you have the right to close your account and delete all your data. Once account is closed, your data will be permanently removed in 30 days. In the meantime, you’ll be able to restore your account.

Please make sure you absolutely certain you want to close your account. After 30 days we won’t be able to recover your account and any of your data.

To close your account:

  1. Click on your name at the top right and select “Privacy”. Select privacy
  2. In “Account deletion” section, click “Close your account”. Select close your account
  3. Confirm your action by clicking “Close my account”. Confirm close account

Recovering account

When your account is closed but not deleted yet, you can recover your account.

To recover your account:

  1. Sign in with your email address and password. Sign in
  2. Click “Recover account” button. Select recover account
